Second-hand Uniform Donations
At Harris Academy Ockendon we believe that the wearing of academy uniform is important in instilling in our students a sense of loyalty and belonging to their school community, where they can take pride in their appearance, develop self-confidence and a sense of personal respect.
With the current cost of living increasing more and more, we are mindful that for some families in our community, the cost of purchasing branded uniform items may become more difficult. In service of supporting these families, we would like to set up a second-hand uniform provision in school.
We are therefore reaching out to families to support us in this scheme.
For some families, your children may be coming to the end of their time at HAOC and will no longer need to wear school uniform, or it may be that your child has outgrown some items. We are asking for donations of HAOC branded items of uniform that are in good condition, specifically kilts, academy blazers, and academy jumpers, that can be re-purposed for other members of our school community in readiness for the next academic year.
Donations of branded kilts, blazers and jumpers can be left at our academy reception during normal school opening hours.
Information about how parents can obtain pre-donated items of uniform, will be shared with families shortly.
Thank you in advance, for your continued support.
