Academy Admissions

Welcome to the Harris Academy Ockendon Admissions information page, and thank you for considering our Academy as a secondary school for your child.

This page tells you how to apply to the Academy and where to find further information.  Our full admissions policy, with details of our admissions criteria, can be downloaded from the bottom of the page.

Parents are also advised to read the advice given by Thurrock Local Authority which includes how and when to apply, what to do if you wish to appeal and how to apply late or make 'in year' applications. The advice also includes catchment area information by address. All this guidance can be accessed here

Harris Academy Ockendon does not give priority to applications from students enrolled at any particular primary or secondary school.

For information about our wonderful academy please feel free to browse our website, or click HERE to view our current Academy Prospectus.

To help you further, we have produced a short video to introduce you to our school, including a quick look at some of our specialist subjects such as science, performing arts, music and PE. Please click below to view:

An introduction to life in Year 7

To help you better understand what life is like at Harris Academy Ockendon, some of our year 7s have filmed themselves talking about their experiences in their first year at the academy.

They have talked about what they enjoyed most, helpful things, useful advice, and what makes Harris Academy Ockendon a great place to learn.

All the year 7 students that took part were excited to do these videos and are looking forward to welcoming you to the academy in the Summer. Please click on the links below to find out what they had to say!
