HAOC Sports Day Results

On Friday 2nd July our students took part in the academy Sports Day.  It was a fantastic day of athletic sporting activities which included track and field events, and both individual and team competitions. Historically, our Sports Days are always thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved, and this years’ event was no exception.

The morning events consisted of throws, jumps and long-distance running races.  In the afternoon we held sprints and relays.

In all events we saw some amazing talent shine through, highlighting the best of everyone’s abilities.

Even if students did not take part in physical competitions, they were still able to contribute to their House by completing a sports quiz. They also cheered on their fellow teammates and peers creating a really supportive and positive atmosphere for the day.

The overall winners for each year group were:

Year 7                   Strike

Year 8                   Pullen

Year 9                   Newton

Year 10                 Pullen

The overall winner, by a staggering 54 points, was Pullen.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in both the physical events and the sports quiz, and huge thanks to the PE department for organising such a wonderful day.
