Spring Raffle 2025, Proceeds to support Children's Mental Health Charities

We held our annual Spring Raffle at the end of spring term 2, to raise money for two charities, the Mental Health Charity, Young Minds and the Neurodiversity charity, Neurodiversity Action.

Young minds

Neurodiversity action

We are delighted to announce that thanks to your generosity we raised nearly £300 in total, which has been split equally between these two charities.

Both organisations do fantastic work supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, and their families. To find out more about the work they do, please click on the links above.

Thank you as always, for your continued support and helping us to serve our community.

As a long-standing supporter of Thurrock Foodbank, we are extremely proud to announce that the donations made in our Autumn 2024 drive came to over 400kg, that brings our overall total to 1.3 tonnes! A truly fantastic achievement!

Students and staff brought in their donations throughout December, items ranging from tinned goods, and mince pies, to toiletries, and baby food.  In addition, families made cash donations via ParentPay, and students were also able to buy raffle tickets, which raised a fantastic £550, proceeds from both went towards purchasing more items for the foodbank.

On behalf of HAOC and Thurrock Foodbank we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donations and unwavering support.

Your contributions have made a significant impact on the work of the foodbank, and the communities they serve.

Macmillan Coffee Morning 2024

Following the great success of previous year’s events, we were delighted once again to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise funds to support those diagnosed with cancer and those that care for them.

Families were invited to join us and their child/ren at HAOC on Friday 27th September for coffee and a piece of cake in exchange for a small donation.

To further support the cause, there were also other fundraising activities taking place, including guess the number of teacups, and sweets in the jar, as well as our Staff Bake-Off!

For 2024 we raised an incredible £1065, which is our best year yet! Thank you to everyone who got involved allowing us to serve our community and help this wonderful and worthwhile cause.
