Mental Health Awareness Week 2023
Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 was on the theme ‘#ToHelpMyAnxiety’.
Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get out of control and become a mental health problem. Lots of things can lead to feelings of anxiety, including exam pressure, relationships, or other big life events.
At HAOC, we focused on anxiety with the aim of increasing awareness and understanding by providing information on the things that can help prevent it becoming a problem. As part of tutor time students received an assembly and completed an activity based around appreciation, to highlight being kind, and appreciating others and knowing that even a smile can make someone's day.
