Mindfulness Corner

Mindfulness is a pretty straightforward word. It suggests that the mind is fully attending to what’s happening, to what you’re doing, to the space you’re moving through. That might seem trivial, except for the annoying fact that we so often drift off and veer from the matter at hand. Our mind wonders, and pretty soon we’re engrossed in thoughts about something that just happened or fretting about the future. And that makes us anxious.

Mindfulness is a quality that every human being already possesses, it’s not something you have to conjure up, you just have to learn how to access it.

The Mindfulness Calm App is an app available to download on your phone or tablet. It’s filled with hundreds of meditation practices, sleep stories read by celebrities, relaxing music, masterclasses and so much more including how to train your mind.

It is great for beginners and has sessions on the Basics of Mindfulnesslearning to meditate, dealing with anxiety and stress, relationships, personal growth and it even has a programme designed for children and young people, (outlined below).
