Returning to School - Parent Guidance
To ensure that all families have up to date information about the protocols and hygiene practices required for a safe return to physical schooling, we have produced a Returning to School Guide for Parents and Students.
A key point to bring to your attention is the matter of face coverings. The government is not recommending universal use of face coverings in all schools at present. The latest advice is that face coverings are only compulsory in areas where there is a local lockdown or where the building is not conducive to social distancing. However, headteachers have been given the discretion to decide what will work best in their context. We want to take every precaution, so we are strongly recommending that students come to school with a face covering (plain, no logos or text).
Further information about the appropriate use of face coverings is included in the booklet, as well as details around the safety measures in place, social distancing, drop off/pick up arrangements, attendance, bubbles and learning zones, as well as the new start days and times, among other things.
Towards the back of the booklet are some FAQs that may help, along with the contact details for each Achievement Leader should you have any questions.
Please ensure you read this with your child before they return to school, so they are fully prepared to resume their education with us.
