HAOC Supporting the Thurrock Foodbank
We are pleased once again to be supporting the Thurrock Foodbank this year. Since we became involved with the charity, we have collected over 1.3 tonnes of donations. As a school, we are incredibly proud of our students, families, and staff for their part in serving our community and helping those in crisis, and we are keen to build on this further.
In 2024/25, food banks in the Trussell Trust’s network supported over 3 million families around the country with food packs, and more than a third of these were distributed for children. They are truly an important lifeline to many people in Thurrock, including our own community, which is why we continue to support them. The Foodbank List
Students are encouraged to contribute to a list of items that the Foodbank desperately needs (shown below). This is not an exhaustive list; you may have other things you wish to contribute. We appreciate not all families will be able to donate, but any donations, however small, are greatly appreciated.
Students must bring donations to reception by Wednesday 10th December 2025. The foodbank will be collecting all donations from HAOC on Thursday 11th December 2025.
