Student Leadership
Our Student Principals are members of our school community that embody our aim to ‘be the best we can be.’
Student principals were appointed following an interview process in which they had to detail their ambitions for the school and their peers.
Charlie Reece
My name is Charlie Reece. I am thrilled to be appointed one of Harris Academy Ockendon Student Principals.
I'd like to describe myself as “optimistic, yet rational”, with firm goals in mind to support the students and the school, through upholding our values of Ambition, Honesty, and Discipline.
My goals are to build upon the fair and consistent practices in place regarding behaviour, acknowledging achievements and working with students who are finding learning difficult. But above all, to ensure students have a positive mental attitude.
Adisa Kenjar
My name is Adisa Kenjar and I am delighted to be selected to become one of your Student Principals.
I’m currently in Year 12 studying Business, Economics and Law at A-level. As an aspiring lawyer, my aim as Student Principal is always to help students achieve their goals and to continue with our journey to make Harris Academy Ockendon a place of excellence where children and teachers can work hand in hand, improving the school step by step.
During my early years of secondary school, I was a member of the Debating Society, where I gained valuable experience in making voices heard. I want to be able to provide a platform for students to share ideas with the aim for helping not just current students, but future cohorts too.
Working closely with Charlie, I am sure we can do brilliant things for our school community.
School Council
Our Student Principals lead our school council and provide a voice for the school community.
The school council contributes to the wider life of the academy through capturing student opinions and meeting with Senior Leaders to enact change.
Our School council consists of two students in each year group, who represent their peers.
