Mastering Remote Learning - Advice for Students

Home Based Working - a Guide for Parents

During the full closure of the academy, teachers will be providing work for your child to complete at home.

Independent Learning Timetable for Students

The academy has drawn up independent learning timetables for our students, that will allow your child to follow structured learning whilst being at home.

Please click on the relevant year group to view the timetable.

KS3 (Yrs 7,8 and 9)

Yr 10

Yr 12 (Year 11 students have been placed onto Transition courses to ensure they are Year 12 ready where possible. They do not have any live lessons but students should access the three lessons per subject per week via Student Share or Teams. If students require extra support or assistance then they can contact their teacher via email or Teams)

Follow these steps to access the lessons and work required:

  1. Logon to Student Share
  2. Find the relevant subject and click on your year group
  3. Select the relevant lesson date and lesson number
  4. Complete all the tasks in either the exercise book provided, on paper, or on Microsoft Word.
  5. If you have any difficulties please email your class teacher in the first instance.

Student Share Point

Student Share Point is the online facility that allows you to access work from all subjects across all year groups.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is an online platform that allows people to work together in 'teams' remotely for KS4 and KS5 students or submit work for KS3 students. 

Harris Academy Ockendon have set this up for teaching groups to enable lessons and/or submission of work to continue from home.
