We are delighted you are considering Harris Academy Ockendon as a secondary school for your child from September 2027.
Yr 6 Open Evening
Our Open Evening will take place in school, on Thursday 24th September 2026 from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
It will be hosted by the Principal, Ms Rainey, and other key members of the academy team, who will be able to share with you details about HAOCs journey so far, our plans for the future, and provide you with the information you will need to inform your decision.
Families will be welcome to explore the school, visit classrooms, and speak to teachers and students. During the evening there will also be two opportunities to hear the Principal’s address, at 5.20pm and 6.05pm.
Due to the popularity of our Open Evenings, and in order to ensure the safety and comfort of staff and attendees, numbers will be limited. Therefore, attendance must be booked in advance. We are also requesting that for each party attending, there is a maximum of 3 people.
Families are welcome to attend for the whole evening, but must indicate when booking, which presentation slot they wish to attend.

Yr 6 Principal Tours
Designed specifically for those families who are unable to attend the Open Evening on Thursday 24th September, the Principal, Ms Rainey will present a summary of the information covered at Open Evening and conduct a brief tour of the school.
Tours are on the following selected dates, and each will last approximately 45 minutes:
· Tuesday 29th September 9.00-9.45am
· Tuesday 6th October 9.00-9.45am
· Tuesday 13th October 9.00-9.45am
To ensure everyone's safety and comfort capacity on each of the tours will be limited and capped at a maximum of 3 people per party.
